Title (priority date): Protease-activated receptor (par) modulator assays (15.12.99)
Reference: 1-31255/FMI
Inventors: Altrogge and Monard
Description: The invention provides a simple, yet sensitive method for identifying PAR cleaving molecules by detecting a released reporter molecule. The detection of released reporter molecule allows for the quantitative and sensitive detection of PAR cleaving molecules.
Applications: Assays amenable to high through-put technologies allowing the identification of agonists or antagonists based on their ability to cleave a PAR cleavage peptide. The assays have the advantage over prior art methods in that they provide a positive reading, are highly sensitive and provide reliable, quantifiable measurements.
Status: Granted EP (1238283) and US (7029877). Validated in AT, BE, CH, CY, DE, DK, ES, FI, FR, GB, GR, IE, IT, NL, PT, SE and TR.
Opportunity: Exclusive or non exclusive license available
Publications: Altrogge et al., Anal Biochem. 2000 Jan 1;277(1):33-45.
