| BIOINFORMATICS SUPPORT |
 |
The number of bioinformatics approaches, tools and databases essential for current biological research increases almost daily. To help FMI scientists to exploit these tools efficiently, we provide collaboration, a bioinformatics helpdesk and relevant training. We focus on function prediction, in depth analysis of selected genes, transcripts and proteins, genomic data mining and the understanding of sequence-structure-function relationships. In collaboration with the Biozentrum at the University of Basel and the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, we are building up a comprehensive environment for computational biology analysis and we organize related events.
